Storyboard
Every Wonderlust project starts with a storyboard, going through 4-5 iterations before it's finalized. Once it's locked, there's usually no turning back. This particular storyboard was quite long so here is a small section. As you can see, our final video stayed very true to the storyboard frames.

Character Designs
While the first iteration of the storyboard is being developed we also start developing character designs. From sketch to colour to 3D, in this instance.

Background Designs
It was important that the colors of the characters and background designs work together so while our character designer was working away at these lovely characters, our set designer started with 2D illustrations of the sets before building in 3D

Final Frames
Once the characters and set designs were approved, we built the frames out in 3D and then added linework for the arms and legs in photoshop. This way we could avoid rigging and character animation in 3D.
